Happy (Belated) Halloween!

"Trick-or-Treat" is right! In anticipation of this exciting holiday filled with one of Keaton's favorite things, candy, she woke up at the crack of dawn, 5 am. Much to my surprise (ha!) she didn't want to nap for most of the day, so I was blessed with this little hyped-up on sugar, sleep deprived child who didn't know which end was up. And at any moment I didn't know if I was going to get a trick or a treat from her - kisses or screaming. At least she sat long enough (in her sister's bumbo) for me to take this hilarious picture of her and Reagan in their Halloween "day" getup. After she woke from her much contested nap, I thought it would be fun to put her adorable "Fi Fi" the poodle costume on. She was not having it, she cried, flopped around and screamed for help as I tried to wrestle the jacket and pants on her. I finally succeeded, for one, very sad looking picture. Reagan, taking a cue from her older sister, decided she didn't want to wear her darling little duckie costume either, and proceeded to throw-up her entire bottle all over it. So that was the end of her costume. Kiwi, after much coercing put her costume back on and went for one trick-or-treating adventure, where she bypassed the candy they were handing out and darted inside for their dog. She really did not understand the whole concept of it...Why walk all that way for one piece of candy when you can get handfuls from willing family members??? I was lucky enough to snag two pictures of my little puppy..... And maybe it wasn't so much luck as it was candy bribery :)

Keaton has always enjoyed the finer things in Life....

She loves playing outside; running, jumping, exploring, throwing rocks, picking up leaves and poking at the occasional bug she finds.

One word - Elmo. Watching him is definitely one of the highlights of her day, and if Reagan and I are lucky, we get to sit on the couch and watch with her!

Another favorite that gives Kiwi thrills (and mom heart attacks), is circus training. She balances, hangs and climbs, and the higher up the furniture the better!

She makes me laugh everyday,

by dressing up, or down...don't ask,

Jumphouses with Aunta! A great find during our visit to the pumpkin patch. She enjoyed it so much that she now jumps non-stop in her crib!

And no one can tickle, chase or throw Kiwi in the air quiet like Daddy can!

Playing with him would be her favorite of all if she hadn't just discovered something so fun and new that she can do!

So what is the latest and greatest thing this cute little lady likes to do????

Throw UNBELIEVABLE Fits!

And we are not just talking a little crying here and there. We are talking about full-on throw yourself on the ground, growling, hyperventilating, 10 minute meltdowns. And what leads to these? ANYTHING!! If you hand her the wrong color popsicle, peel her string cheese the wrong way (as CoCo knows), tell her not to swing off the chandelier, etc.... And to think she hasn't even turned two yet.....

You Kiss Your Sister With That Mouth?

Today, for breakfast of course, Keaton wanted a huge Halloween bat cookie. Being the strict mother that I am, I let her indulge, I mean after all it is Halloween! But instead of eating her delectable treat, she decided to lick off every speck of festive black sprinkle that decorated it. This was the messy result: As Kiwi finished her "lollipop", she decided that her little sister shouldn't have to miss out on all the holiday fun! So she got Reagan in on this celebration by kissing her repeatedly on the head with that dirty mouth. And this was the (second) messy result: A happy, Eddie Munster-esque, Reagan. Who delighted in every black sticky kiss, but of course she did, I mean after all it is Halloween!
